Hair Transplant FAQ
The most common hair transplant questions are about cost, how many grafts you need, whether it hurts, if it's safe, and how long results take. In short: the price is set by the package you choose, not by grafts or technique (€1,600 and €2,100 (approx. $1,850–$2,400) for up to 5,000 grafts), graft counts vary from around 1,000 for a hairline to 4,000+ for advanced loss, the procedure is done under local anaesthetic, risks are explained at consultation, and visible growth develops over 9–12 months. We confirm your plan after a personal assessment.
Straight answers before you commit
This page gathers the questions patients ask us most, with honest answers. None of it replaces a personal consultation — suitability, graft count and technique always depend on a medical assessment of your donor area and hair loss — but it should help you plan with realistic expectations. The short version of each answer is below; the full FAQ follows.
Cost and grafts
The two questions that come up first are usually price and how many grafts. At Natural Hair Turkey they're not linked: one package price covers up to 5,000 grafts with any technique, so the graft count shapes your plan rather than your bill. Graft counts vary with the area and the degree of loss — a hairline needs fewer than the crown or advanced loss — and we confirm the exact plan after looking at your donor area. Beware any clinic that pins down a precise graft number before assessing you.
Safety and choosing a clinic
A hair transplant is generally considered a low-risk elective procedure for suitable candidates, but quality varies between providers, so who performs it matters more than where. The most useful safeguards are checkable: confirm who assesses you and who performs each stage of your procedure, that the clinic holds the relevant licences, that sterilisation and follow-up are clearly handled, and that you can see genuine, consented before-and-after cases. Any procedure carries some risk, and the risks that apply to you are explained at your assessment.
The procedure and recovery
The procedure itself is carried out under local anaesthetic, so most people feel little during it, and many return to non-strenuous routines within a few days. Redness and scabbing typically fade over one to two weeks, and the transplanted hairs shed before regrowing — a normal, expected stage rather than a setback. Following the washing, sleeping and activity guidance in the first weeks protects the grafts while they settle.
Results and suitability
A natural result comes from hairline design and correct graft angle, direction and density, which is why your hairline is designed with you. Visible growth develops over roughly 9–12 months and can keep maturing beyond a year; individual results vary, and no clinic can honestly promise a specific outcome. Suitability depends mainly on your donor area and the pattern of your loss — the honest way to find out whether, and how, a transplant would help is a free hair analysis followed by an in-person assessment.
